A charity auction to benefit the Ukrainian people.
From April 30 to May 7 at the Marina di Chiavari - West Calata many works by renowned artists for the "Charity Art Auction"
Marinedi Group launches a new solidarity initiative for the Ukrainian people. Among the first companies in the sector to take a stand against the war, the Roman group headed by engineer Renato Marconi, had already in the first weeks of the conflict expressed its dissent against all forms of violence by hoisting the Ukrainian flag in its navies (14 throughout the Mediterranean), alongside that of the European Community and the Italian tricolor. Now, in collaboration with Margherita Chalambalakis events manager for Spazio Mec, a new solidarity initiative is born.
OnSaturday, May 7, starting at 7 p.m., a charity auction will be held on the panoramic terrace of the Marina di Chiavari - Calata Ovest. "Charity Art Auction" this is the title of the event, in which it will also be possible to participate "remotely" by following the auctioneer's operations live on the Instagram page of Spazio Mec.
Così spiega Margherita Chalambalakis: <Così come abbiamo fatto durante l’emergenza Covid, organizzando un evento on line analogo, anche questa volta Spazio Mec ha deciso di non rimanere indifferente di fronte a questa nuova emergenza umanitaria, cercando di fare la sua parte. Abbiamo così proposto l’idea dell’asta benefica a Marinedi Group, che ha subito accolto il nostro progetto e abbiamo coinvolto gli artisti che lo scorso anno avevano partecipato al contest “Naviganti” sempre organizzato in collaborazione con Marinedi. Ora speriamo che il pubblico partecipi con generosità>.

Riteniamo sia doveroso, oltreché necessario, sostenere in tutte le maniere possibili il popolo ucraino, che sta soffrendo questa feroce aggressione e siamo felici di poter dare un piccolo contributo anche attraverso questa iniziativa che unisce arte e solidarietà>.
Some 20 illustrations will be auctioned off, created by as many nationally and internationally established artists in the field of illustration and graphic design, who have made their work available for the charity initiative: Elisa Borghino, Alessandra Bruni, Elena Ceccato, Carla Di Feo, Liana Franceschini, Alice Gallosi, Valentina Grilli, Fatma Ibrahimi, Irene Magi, Elisa Ester Monti, Alessandra Ubezio, Maria Gloria Pozzi, Eleonora Primavera, Sasha Zelenkevich, Sergio Olivotti, Ginevra Sorbelli, Elena Volongo, Yushan Zhu, Marina Rubinelli, and Elisa Francioli.
Starting on Saturday, April 30 , and until the time of the auction, the works will again be on display in the office space at the West Causeway. The proceeds of the "Charity Art Auction" will go to the "Pokrova" association, which works to support the Ukrainian population by sending humanitarian aid and activating support projects for refugees who have arrived in Tigullio.
