The call for entries for the "Marinedi Group" photography contest , a collaboration between the Marina di Chiavari - Calata Ovest and the Chiavari DLF photography group, has just been published. The contest will be divided into two sections, a national one entitled "Man and the Sea" and a local one "Tell the Marina of Chiavari - Calata Ovest." The initiative stems from Marinedi Group's desire to develop sensitivity to environmental sustainability and territorial protection, which in the Marinas of its network is applied through virtuous practices (use of electric vehicles, use of renewable energy, installation of devices for cleaning the sea, use of biodegradable products, etc.). Marinedi Group's work is also characterized by the desire to collaborate and create virtuous synergies with local realities, implementing projects not only related to boating but ranging from culture, to solidarity; from education, to promotion, conceiving the ports as "portals of access" on the territories, promoting activities aimed at increasing links between land and sea. The purpose of the photo contest "Marinedi - Man and the Sea" is to tell, through the participants' shots, the relationship of man with the marine ecosystem in all its possible facets and interpretative keys. Also aiming to raise awareness and develop more and more a culture of the sea that is attentive and respectful of a delicate balance to be preserved.
Participation in the contest is FREE and open to all: each author may submit up to a maximum of FOUR photographs. Entries must be received by Friday, July 15, 2022 (under penalty of exclusion) at www.dlffotochiavari.org. The prize juries will meet by July 24 and by July 31 the results will be announced by e-mail. All entries received will be exhibited from August 18 to 31 in the Civic Tower Hall in Chiavari. In addition to the winning photos, a selection of the best shots, at the jury's discretion, will go to form a widespread exhibition, presented in each Marina of the group.
